I. BACKGROUND
Thus, the Anand Krishna Education Foundation focuses on the importance of character building by re-introducing human values, local knowledge, and national heritages as viewed by our founding fathers, e.g. Ki Hajar Dewantara, Bung Karno, Bung Hatta, Muhammad Yamin and Sanusi Pane. Nonetheless, the Foundation’s view of National Heritage is not directed towards narrow-sighted chauvinism. Instead, we envisage a local heritage and nationalism that contribute towards internationalism and universal humanity as viewed by Founding Father Soekarno. Admittedly, many stakeholders have participated in creating the national education system. Yet, do we have similar paradigm, understanding and goal? Most importantly, is such education system and goal suitable for this very Motherland? The various perceptions and goals on Indonesia’s education have created myriad education systems with their own colours, each forgetting the essential base of national education: cultural heritage. As such, these are what we have in our societies nowadays:
Based upon such considerations, Indonesia requires a holistic educational system based on cultural heritage that gives full independence for character development; physical, intellectual, and spiritual-wise. Then, and only then, we hope to achieve the ideal national educational goal: encouragement of humanity and human values.
The Anand Krishna Education Foundation is an advanced step from the Soul Awakening Forum (Forum Kebangkitan Jiwa or FKJ). Established in 2002, the FKH has conducted Stress-Free Teaching Method (Mengajar Tanpa Di Hajar Stress/MTDS), accommodating more than 10,000 teachers nation-wide. In turn, the Anand Krishna Education Foundation is also a spin-off from the Forum for Educators, Doctors, and Psychologists for the Motherland (Forum Pengajar, Dokter dan Psikolog Bagi Ibu Pertiwi or ForADokSi BIP), a protégé organisation under the National Integration Movement or NIM. Declared on 28 October 2006, ForADokSi conducted its first symposium in Jakarta on 25 October 2007, attended among others by 1,400 teachers in the Jakarta municipality. The Anand Krishna Education Foundation also bases its programs on Anand Krishna’s concepts and ideas, mostly effused in his books, and on the United Nations’ global education strategies.
II. AIMS The Foundation aims for a holistic education system where nationalism and humanitarian values are developed together to create new Indonesians who wisely use Indonesia’s natural resources for a better Indonesia.
III. PROGRAMS The Foundation aims to establish a school system tailored suit for kindergarten, elementary school (SD ; year 7-12), secondary school (SMP; year 13-15), and high school (SMU; year 16-18).

V. BUDGET ESTIMATION FOR SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT The Anand Krishna Education Foundation plans to erect a three-storeys building.
